impossible to loop or reverse (by hitting knobs) into a row

Reported by drone | September 26th, 2009 @ 12:18 AM

Maybe it's impossible to do this with this version of mlrV, but if it's possible, it doesn't work!

Sorry I'm french, I will try to be more clear!

There is audio loop into a row. With mlr (the classic one or even mlrV) when you hit a button (for example the number 5) and after press another (for example the number 9) you can loop the part of the loop (!), here the part between the button 5 and 9. And if you press first the 9 and after the 5 it loops in the other direction.
But here with this mlr version it doesn't works.

    I hope I be readable...

In any case, thanks to help me!

Ok, I saw this post after, and it's right about the reverse loop, it doesn't really function.
But what about looping into the loop? You think it's useless and I'll have to program it?

Sorry, I don't want to insist or to abuse, but I really want to understand.
Thus I took a video to explain, it will be easier!

I'm a bit tenacious, but thank you in advance

Is it possible to know why this thread is tagged 'invalid'?

  • galapagoose

    galapagoose November 10th, 2009 @ 09:50 AM

invalid because i thought it was the same problem as in that earlier post i linked to above.
not invalid because it is useless or anything - simply that the problem i understand you have had already been noted.

    HOWEVER***
are you simply trying to use the 2-press loop in a forward manner?
if this is not working check in the mlrv tab (bottom right) and see if the button next to 'inner loop' is on or off.
it needs to be turned ON in order to get inner-loops (2-press loops) to work.

hope this helps — again, if you think i've misunderstood your problem please don't hesitate to write more
ALSO**** i couldn't download your video - if you upload it to a streaming site (youtube / vimeo) it would be much easier for me.

Thanks a lot galapagoose for your prompt response.
In fact because of the wall of languages there is a lot of things that I don't understand, and that's the reason why I wanted to know the 'invalid' tag.
And as you will see, I didn't know that what I try to found is named 'inner loop', oops... Because now it works, Thank you!! (so there's no need to put the video in other place, because what I only show in the video is inner loop)

Now, the new problem is that since I installed Live 8 (last week), rewire doesn't function with every mlrV application. But it's another problem.

    Thanks again.
