rewire, no track row button response

mlrV 18.9.9
arduinomeserial 0.2.1.2a
ableton 8.04
so mlrv works fine when i use my sound card, everything seems to function correctly. But when i use rewire, the rows still move, but when i push on a button in the row, it is not responding. Is there something i need to change in my rewire settings?

have you tried hitting the play button in ableton? the sequence-of-operations is a bit tricky: try enabling rewire, hitting play in ableton, enable the dac in mlrv, mash buttons. sometimes you have to hit 'stop' and 'play' a few times but it will eventually catch.

i can get it to sync just fine after clicking on rewire a few times, but am getting no lights on the monome.

forgot to add im getting the following error msg in max window, perhaps these are causing my problems?
bpatcher: bpatcher: error loading patcher framework.maxpat

i have a mbox 1. Iam not using it as my audio driver, not sure why this is coming up..
