No rewire sync in windows XP sp2
Reported by Eimhin | December 7th, 2008 @ 09:47 AM
I have followed all the correct steps to setting up and using mlrV. Audio sends to ableton live beautifully, through rewire, but the sync doesn't work. I've tried toggling it on and off, no dice. The midi sync send works fine though.

I'm on Windows XP SP2 as well. I've been able to sync it using Midi Yoke. Unfortunately I can only get Ableton Live to sync to mlr, and not vice versa, but that's okay.
Here are the steps: 1. Get midi yoke if you don't already have it. 2. Go to Live preferences, Midi Sync, and turn on "Sync" on one of the Midi Yoke Inputs. 3. Under Midi/OSC in MLR, choose "internal" for the clock source. Send midi sync out to whatever midi yoke you chose in step 2. 4. Turn on "Ext." in Ableton; it should sync to mlr.

thanks for this agargara! i always forget that windows doesn't natively support inter-app midi communication.
i'm currently installing bootcamp on my mac so i can try and iron out the rewire sync issue... hopefully we can get it to function on both OS.
